MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of the Chesopiean Colony scholarship committee is to provide a financial award to a deserving colony resident to offset the cost of higher education. Through these efforts, the committee will promote the colony, support its residents, and encourage higher learning and education. The awardee will be selected based on consideration of the below criteria with emphasis on academic achievement, involvement in clubs/sports, community service, leadership, and essay.
VALUE OF AWARD: The amount will be determined according to the funds available at the time.
METHOD OF PAYMENT: The award is an outright grant with no stipulation that any of the money is to be repaid.
QUALIFICATONS: This award for continuing education will be granted to a deserving high school senior who is a current resident of Chesopeian Colony. The award will be based on:

- Acceptance to an accredited college or vocational school
- Academic achievement, involvement in extracurricular activities, community service, leadership, and essay
METHOD OF SELECTION: Recipient of the award will be selected by a volunteer selection committee of Colony residents.
